Mrs Weasley was marching across the yard, scattering chickens, and for a short, plump, kind-faced woman, it was remarkable how much she looked like a sabre-toothed tiger.

[ WARDED TO ARTHUR WEASLEY. ]
All this talk about purists has been making me think about Mum and Dad again. They were horrid about purism and thought You-Know-Who had the right idea, but how can people say they're good as Death Eaters when Death Eaters killed them? Do you think some people are even HAPPY they're dead, because that's two fewer purists? People who are supposed to be our friends? I know I'm supposed to hate them for it too and they disowned me and wouldn't look at any of the boys for it, but they were still my parents.

And we're going to keep going to those defence classes. All I care about is that the boys are safe. We can leave the heroics to the DMLE and someone who doesn't have a family to lose, though I wish they wouldn't be so reckless. I think some of them have a death wish, and I will NEVER understand that. If they don't care about themselves, they should at least THINK about their friends and family like my brothers should have bef-- They killed Mum and Dad because of Gideon, Fabian, and me. What if they went after Neil and Finella's daughters instead of the McKinnons who are of age?

[ WARDED TO THE MCKINNONS, TONKSES, AND WEASLEYS. ]
Arthur and I were wondering if any of you were going to take classes with Professor McGonagall. If children is a matter, she told me that Madam Pomfrey's made arrangements, and I've offered me help with that too, of course. I might even ask if I can cook for them so there are no worries about dinner either.

I'd like to take the classes on magical Healing, basic defence, and how to leave in a hurry at least. Arthur's thinking of teaching, perhaps. And Bill and Charlie want to go and learn how to fight, but that's NOT the point of this. I'm letting them take that one children's class about escaping if they bring Percy along, and it would be lovely if Lucy, Evelyn, and Nymphadora were there too. Bill and Charlie can make friends with anyone, but Percy would fret less if there were other children he knew there.

[ WARDED TO GIDEON AND FABIAN PREWETT. ]
I don't know what this Order of yours is going to protect you after everything you've done and gone through for them, but you should come with Arthur, the boys, and me to those classes of Professor McGonagall's. Goodness knows you could always do with a little more practice at defence if Death Eaters are, well, you know I mean. But I wouldn't want for you to get arrested if the DMLE still has ridiculous ideas of you two being Death Eaters and you showed up in public either.

Do you think Mum and Dad would still be here if they'd had taken clas--

Don't even THINK about saying a word to that horrible werewolf, any of you. It's terrible enough that giants were rampaging through Ottery St Catchpole three days ago, and I won't have werewolves doing the same. Especially HIM when we have five children here.

I know you're at work, dear, but when you're home tonight, we better have a look at the wards and see if they can hold up against giants. If those awful brutes have been in Somerset and Cornwall, they could be here in Devon next, and Ottery St Catchpole is full of Muggles like Tinworth. What if they march right through the Burrow on their way there?

Bill is still going on about Egypt after those trinkets my brothers brought for the boys, but at least HE is sensible enough not to think of running off there on a whim with Charlie once he's old enough. And Charlie wants a pet giant, but we'll have none of THAT, of course.
